تعلن مؤسسة مهرجان مالمو للسينما العربية عن إقامة الدورة السابعة عشرة من المهرجان خلال الفترة من 23 إلى 29 أبريل 2027 في مدينة مالمو السويدية، إيذاناً بانطلاق التحضيرات الرسمية لدورة جديدة من أكبر منصة للسينما العربية في أوروبا وأحد أبرز الجسور الثقافية بين العالم العربي ودول الشمال الأوروبي.
على مدار أكثر من ستة عشر عاماً، نجح مهرجان مالمو للسينما العربية في ترسيخ مكانته كمنصة سينمائية وثقافية دولية تجمع صناع الأفلام والجمهور والمؤسسات السينمائية من مختلف أنحاء العالم، وتسهم في تعزيز الحوار الثقافي والتبادل الفني من خلال السينما. ومنذ انطلاقه عام 2011، لعب المهرجان دوراً محورياً في تقديم السينما العربية المعاصرة للجمهور الأوروبي، وفتح آفاق جديدة للتعاون والتواصل بين صناع السينما في العالم العربي وأوروبا.
وستواصل الدورة السابعة عشرة تقديم برنامج سينمائي متنوع يسلط الضوء على أحدث الإنتاجات العربية من الأفلام الروائية الطويلة والوثائقية والقصيرة، إلى جانب الندوات واللقاءات الثقافية والأنشطة المهنية التي تعزز التبادل المعرفي والحوار الفني بين مختلف الفاعلين في القطاع السينمائي.
كما تعلن المؤسسة أن أيام مهرجان مالمو لصناعةالسينما (MAFF Industry Days) ستقام خلال الفترة من 24 إلى 27 أبريل 2027، لتواصل دورها كمنصة مهنية تجمع صناع الأفلام والمنتجين والموزعين وممثلي المؤسسات والصناديق السينمائية من العالم العربي ودول الشمال الأوروبي وأوروبا، بهدف تطوير المشاريع السينمائية وتعزيز فرص التعاون والإنتاج المشترك وبناء الشراكات المهنية الدولية.
وبهذه المناسبة قال محمد قبلاوي، مؤسس المهرجان والرئيس التنفيذي لمؤسسة مهرجان مالمو للسينما العربية:
منذ تأسيس مهرجان مالمو للسينما العربية عام 2011، كان هدفنا أن نجعل من السينما جسراً للحوار والتفاهم بين الثقافات، وأن نوفر منصة مستقلة ومستدامة تتيح للجمهور في السويد وأوروبا التعرف على ثراء وتنوع السينما العربية المعاصرة. وعلى مدار أكثر من ستة عشر عاماً، عمل المهرجان على تعزيز التبادل الثقافي، ودعم الأصوات السينمائية الجديدة، وخلق فرص للتعاون بين صناع الأفلام والمؤسسات السينمائية في العالم العربي وأوروبا
اليوم نفخر بأن مهرجان مالمو للسينما العربية أصبح منصة دولية معترفاً بها، ومقصداً سنوياً لصناع السينما والجمهور والشركاء من مختلف أنحاء العالم. ونتطلع إلى أن تشكل الدورة السابعة عشرة محطة جديدة تعزز من دور المهرجان في دعم التنوع الثقافي، وتشجيع الحوار والانفتاح، وترسيخ مكانة مالمو كعاصمة للقاء الثقافات والإبداع السينمائي. كما نتطلع إلى استقبال ضيوفنا وشركائنا وجمهورنا في أبريل 2027 للاحتفاء بقوة السينما وقدرتها على التقريب بين الناس ونقل القصص الإنسانية التي تتجاوز الحدود واللغات.

, Sweden, marking the official launch of preparations for a new edition of Europe's largest platform dedicated to Arab cinema and one of the most important cultural bridges between the Arab world and the Nordic countries.
For more than sixteen years, the Malmö Arab Film Festival has established itself as an international cinematic and cultural platform that brings together filmmakers, audiences, and film institutions from around the world, while fostering cultural dialogue and artistic exchange through cinema. Since its launch in 2011, the festival has played a pivotal role in introducing contemporary Arab cinema to European audiences and creating new opportunities for collaboration and networking between film professionals from the Arab world and Europe.
The 17th edition will continue to present a diverse cinematic programme highlighting the latest Arab feature films, documentaries, and short films, alongside seminars, cultural events, and professional activities that encourage knowledge exchange and artistic dialogue among key stakeholders in the film industry.
The Foundation also announces that MAFF Industry Days will be held from 24 to 27 April 2027, continuing its role as a professional platform that brings together filmmakers, producers, distributors, representatives of film institutions, and funding bodies from the Arab world, the Nordic region, and Europe. The initiative aims to support film project development, strengthen opportunities for co-production, and foster international professional partnerships.
