شهدت جلسة العرض المباشرة لمشروع فيلم "سر اختفاء بابا" للمخرجة راندا علي، استقبالًا جيدًا جدًّا اليوم 17 مايو في قاعة (Palais K) بمدينة كان، ضمن فعاليات مبادرة "فانتاستيك 7" المقامة على هامش سوق الفيلم التابع لمهرجان كان السينمائي، وسط إشادة وتفاعل من المستثمرين والموزعين ووكلاء المبيعات وخبراء الصناعة العالميين. حيث يمثل الفيلم مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي في المبادرة التي تنظم بجهد مشترك بين سوق الفيلم في مهرجان كان، ومهرجان سيتجيس السينمائي الدولي بكتالوني) لترويج مشاريع أفلام النوع على مستوى العالم.
يعكس مشروع "سر اختفاء بابا" تطورًا ملحوظًا في سينما النوع داخل المنطقة العربية، ويعتمد على دمج رحلة النضوج بعناصر الغموض والواقعية السحرية والتوتر النفسي، ويتمتع ببنية سردية مبتكرة لفتت انتباه المشاركين في الجلسة المباشرة.
وفي هذا السياق، صرّح محمد سيد عبد الرحيم، مدير أيام القاهرة لصناعة السينما بمهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، قائلًا: "فخورون بمشاركة مشروع 'سر اختفاء بابا' وعرضه في هذا المحفل العالمي، حيث يمثل هذا الحضور تتويجًا لجهودنا المستمرة في دعم المشاريع السينمائية العربية. يوفر المهرجان عبر منصات الصناعة والملتقى مساحات مستدامة للمواهب الشابة لتمكينهم من مقابلة الفاعلين الأساسيين في السينما العالمية، ونسعى دائمًا إلى تعزيز فرصهم في أسواق الإنتاج العالمية ودفع إبداعاتهم نحو آفاق رحبة".
وتضم مبادرة Fantastic 7 سبعة مهرجانات سينمائية عالمية رائدة؛ وهي: مهرجان سيتجيس السينمائي الدولي بكتالونيا (SITGES)، مهرجان بوتشون الدولي لأفلام الخيال (BIFAN)، مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي (CIFF)، مهرجان غوادالاخارا السينمائي الدولي (FICG)، مهرجان هونغ كونغ السينمائي الدولي (HKIFF)، مهرجان ساوث باي ساوث واست السينمائي والتلفزيوني (SXSW)، ومهرجان تالين بلاك نايتس السينمائي (PÖFF).

The live pitch session for the film project "Rock, Paper, Sea" by director Randa Ali received a very good reception today, May 17, at Palais K in Cannes. This took place during the Fantastic 7 initiative held on the sidelines of the Marché du Film at the Cannes Film Festival, amidst praise and interaction from investors, distributors, sales agents, and global industry experts. The film represents Cairo International Film Festival in the initiative, organized as a joint effort between the Marché du Film in Cannes and the Sitges - International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, to promote genre film projects globally.
"Rock, Paper, Sea" project reflects a notable development in genre cinema within the Arab region. It merges a coming-of-age journey with elements of mystery, magical realism, and psychological tension, boasting an innovative narrative structure that caught the attention of participants in the live session.
