افتتح الجناح المصري بسوق الأفلام بمهرجان كان السينمائي الدولي أبوابه اليوم بحضور ممثلين عن المؤسسات الشريكة وعدد من أبرز صناع السينما والمنتجين والإعلاميين والضيوف الدوليين، ليواصل الجناح دوره كمنصة تجمع صناعة السينما المصرية والعربية مع المجتمع السينمائي العالمي.
يأتي الجناح المصري كمبادرة مشتركة بين مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، ولجنة مصر للأفلام ومهرجان الجونة السينمائي بهدف تعزيز حضور السينما المصرية والعربية على الساحة الدولية، وخلق مساحات للتواصل والتعاون والإنتاج المشترك.
وشهد الافتتاح حضور فريق مهرجان الجونة السينمائي: المهندس سميح ساويرس، مؤسس الجونة ورئيس مجلس إدارة مهرجان الجونة السينمائي، وعمرو منسي، المؤسس الشريك والمدير التنفيذي لمهرجان الجونة السينمائي، وأندرو محسن، المدير الفني لمهرجان الجونة السينمائي، أحمد شوقي، رئيس سيني جونة لدعم إنتاج الأفلام، وحياة الجويلي، مديرة سيني جونة للمواهب الناشئة و، وفريق مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي: الفنان حسين فهمي، رئيس مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، ومحمد طارق، المدير الفني لمهرجان القاهرة السينمائي، والأستاذ أحمد بدوي، رئيس لجنة مصر للأفلام، والدكتور هاني أبو الحسن، مستشار رئيس مدينة الإنتاج الإعلامي للتعاون الدولي، وريهام الغزالي، مديرة التسويق بلجنة مصر للأفلام، والمهندسة شيرين فرغل، مصممة الجناح المصري، إلى جانب ممثلين عن الجهات الشريكة والداعمة للجناح، وعدد من الشخصيات السينمائية والإعلامية العربية والدولية.
ويمثل الجناح المصري نقطة لقاء يومية لصناع السينما خلال فعاليات سوق الأفلام بمهرجان كان السينمائي الدولي، حيث يستضيف برنامجًا متنوعًا من الحلقات النقاشية، والفعاليات المهنية، واجتماعات الصناعة، وأنشطة التشبيك، بمشاركة خبراء ومؤسسات من المنطقة والعالم.
The Egyptian Pavilion Opens at the Marché du Film, Cannes Film Festival 2026

The Egyptian Pavilion officially opened today at the Marché du Film of the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, in the presence of representatives from partner organizations, filmmakers, producers, media professionals, and international guests, continuing its role as a platform connecting Egyptian and Arab cinema with the global film community.
The Egyptian Pavilion is a joint initiative between Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), Egyptian Film Commission (EFC), and El Gouna Film Festival (GFF), with the aim of strengthening the presence of Egyptian and Arab cinema on the international stage and creating opportunities for dialogue, collaboration, and co-production.
The opening ceremony was attended by GFF team members, Eng. Samih Sawiris, Founder of El Gouna and Chairman of El Gouna Film Festival Board of Directors, Amr Mansi, Co-founder and Executive Director of El Gouna Film Festival, Andrew Mohsen, Artistic Director of El Gouna Film Festival, Ahmed Shawky, Head of CineGouna Funding, and Hayat Aljowaily, Head of CineGouna Emerge and international engagement; The CIFF team, Hussein Fahmy, President of Cairo International Film Festival, Mohamed Tarek, Artistic Director of Cairo International Film Festival; and Mr. Ahmed Badawi, Managing Director of Egypt Film Commission, Dr. Hani Abu Al-Hassan Advisor to the Chairman for international cooperation, Media Production City, and Reham El Ghazaly, Marketing Manager of Egypt Film Commission, alongside representatives from partner and supporting organizations, as well as prominent Arab and international film and media figures.
Throughout the Marché du Film, the Egyptian Pavilion will serve as a daily meeting point for filmmakers and industry professionals, hosting a diverse program of panels, industry events, meetings, and networking activities featuring experts and institutions from the region and around the world.

Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) is one of the oldest and most prestigious film festivals in the Arab world and Africa. Founded in 1976, it has grown to become a major platform for world cinema, bringing together filmmakers, actors, and film professionals from across the globe. Egypt Film Commission (EFC)
, a subsidiary of the Egyptian Media Production City (EMPC), serves as the official authority responsible for issuing all permits and script approvals for international productions filming in Egypt. Acting as a one-stop shop, EFC oversees the entire filming process, including script approvals, shooting permits, coordination with relevant authorities, customs clearance for equipment, and the provision of security support. Additionally, EFC offers up to 30% cashback for productions filming within EMPC premises.
