يواصل مهرجان القاهرة الدولي للمسرح التجريبي، برئاسة البروفيسور الدكتور سامح مهران، الإعلان عن برنامجه التدريبي للدورة الثالثة والثلاثين، من خلال نخبة من أبرز الفنانين والمدربين في مصر والعالم، حيث يفتح باب التقديم لورشة "بداية التعلم والتطور" التي يقدمها الفنان القدير أحمد كمال، والمخصصة للشباب من 16 إلى 19 عاما، على أن يتم اختيار 20 إلى 25 متدربا ومتدربة بالتساوي بين الجنسين، إيمانا بأهمية الاستثمار في البدايات وصناعة جيل جديد يمتلك أدواته الفنية منذ خطواته الأولى.
وتقام الورشة خلال الفترة من 2 إلى 7 سبتمبر 2026، ولمدة ستة أيام، بواقع خمس ساعات تدريب يوميا، بإجمالي 30 ساعة تدريبية، لتمنح المشاركين تجربة مكثفة في اكتشاف أساسيات فن التمثيل.
وتحمل الورشة عنوان "بداية التعلم والتطور"، انطلاقا من إيمان الفنان أحمد كمال بأن البداية الصحيحة هي الأساس الحقيقي للتعلم والتطور، لذلك صُممت خصيصا للمرحلة العمرية تحت العشرين عاما، لتقدم للمشاركين أهم المهارات التي ينبغي أن يمتلكها الممثل في بداية مشواره الفني.
ويركز البرنامج التدريبي على تنمية الوعي بالجسد، والسيطرة العصبية والنفسية، والتركيز، والتواصل مع النفس والذات، ومهارات الارتجال، وبناء الشخصية، بما يساعد المتدربين على تكوين قاعدة فنية وإنسانية متينة قبل الانطلاق إلى مراحل أكثر تقدما في دراسة وممارسة التمثيل.
ويُعد الفنان أحمد كمال واحدا من أبرز الممثلين ومدربي التمثيل في مصر، حيث تمتد رحلته الفنية والبحثية لأكثر من خمسة عقود، منذ تخرجه في كلية الآداب بجامعة القاهرة عام 1980، متنقلا بين المسرح المدرسي، المسرح الجامعي، مسرح الثقافة الجماهيرية، ومسارح البيت الفني للمسرح، إلى جانب مساهمته في تأسيس عدد من أبرز الفرق المسرحية المستقلة.
وكان من أوائل مؤسسي فرقة مسرح الشارع عام 1976 مع المخرج ناصر عبد المنعم، فكانت ظاهره مسرحية فريدة؛ إذ كانت عروض الفرقة تتم في شوارع وميادين وأرصفة القاهرة والمحافظات، وشكل ذلك تحديات للأداء التمثيلي وخبرة من النادر أن يحصل عليها الممثل.
كما شارك في تأسيس فرقة الورشة المسرحية مع المخرج حسن الجريتلي عام 1987، وهي التجارب التي أسهمت في تكوين رؤيته الخاصة لفن الممثل والتدريب المسرحي.
وفي مجال تدريب الممثل، كرس أحمد كمال جهوده منذ عام 1995 لتدريب أجيال متعاقبة من الممثلين، مستندا إلى فلسفة تقوم على تطوير شخصية المتدرب ووعيه الإنساني قبل تعليمه تقنيات الأداء، وهو النهج الذي يقدمه أيضا في ورشة "البداية".
وشارك أحمد كمال في عشرات الأعمال المسرحية والسينمائية والتلفزيونية، من أبرزها مسرحيات باي باي عرب، ناس النهر، داير داير، وجلجامش، بالإضافة إلى أفلام مثل الكيت كات، واحد صفر، أسماء، وتراب الماس، إلى جانب أعمال درامية تليفزيونية بارزة مثل حارة اليهود، واحة الغروب، الهرشة السابعة وكامل العدد.

Ahmed Kamal to Lead “The Beginning” Workshop for Young Participants as Part of the 33rd Edition of the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre

The Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre (CIFET), chaired by Professor Dr. Sameh Mehran, continues to unveil the training program of its 33rd edition through a distinguished lineup of leading artists and trainers from Egypt and around the world. The festival has announced an open call for applications to “The Beginning: Learning and Development” workshop, led by acclaimed actor and acting coach Ahmed Kamal.
The workshop is designed for young participants aged 16 to 19 years, with 20 to 25 trainees to be selected, ensuring equal representation of both genders. This initiative reflects the festival’s commitment to investing in young talent and fostering a new generation of artists equipped with strong creative foundations from the earliest stages of their artistic journeys.
The workshop will take place from September 2 to 7, 2026, over six consecutive days, with five training hours per day, totaling 30 hours of intensive practical training aimed at introducing participants to the fundamentals of acting.
Titled “The Beginning: Learning and Development,” the workshop is rooted in Ahmed Kamal’s belief that a solid beginning is the true foundation of learning and growth. It has therefore been specifically designed for participants under the age of twenty, providing them with the essential skills every actor needs at the start of a professional artistic career.
The training program focuses on developing body awareness, emotional and psychological control, concentration, self-awareness, improvisation skills, and character building. These elements are intended to help participants establish a strong artistic and human foundation before advancing to more specialized stages of acting study and practice.
Ahmed Kamal is widely regarded as one of Egypt’s most prominent actors and acting trainers. His artistic and research journey spans more than five decades. After graduating from the Faculty of Arts at Cairo University in 1980, he worked across school theatre, university theatre, the Cultural Palaces theatre movement, and the stages of the State Theatre Organization, while also contributing to the establishment of several influential independent theatre companies.
In 1976, he became one of the founding members of the Street Theatre Company, alongside director Nasser Abdel Moneim. The company represented a unique theatrical phenomenon, staging performances in the streets, squares, and sidewalks of Cairo and other governorates. This experience presented distinctive performance challenges and provided actors with a rare and invaluable artistic training ground.
In 1987, Kamal also co-founded El Warsha Theatre Troupe with director Hassan El Geretly. These pioneering experiences played a significant role in shaping his distinctive vision of acting and actor training.
Since 1995, Ahmed Kamal has dedicated much of his career to training successive generations of actors. His philosophy is based on developing the trainee’s personality and human awareness before teaching performance techniques—a methodology that also forms the core of “The Beginning” workshop.
Throughout his career, Ahmed Kamal has appeared in dozens of theatre productions, films, and television series. His notable stage works include Bye Bye Arab, People of the River, Daier Daier, and Gilgamesh. His film credits include The Kit Kat, One-Zero, Asmaa, and Diamond Dust, while his television work features acclaimed productions such as Haret El Yahoud, Oasis of Sunset, The Seventh Itch, and Kamel El Adad.
