يسر مهرجان الجونة السينمائي الإعلان عن الاحتفاء بأيقونة الغناء والتمثيل جاين بركين، خلال دورته السادسة المنعقدة من 13 إلى 20 أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول. يُقام الاحتفاء بمسيرة الفنّانة البارزة (1946 - 2023)، بعد ثلاثة أشهر على رحيلها المفاجئ عن 76 عاماً. تنسجم هذه التحية مع مبدأ المهرجان في رد الاعتبار إلى ماضي الفنّ السابع، حاضره ومستقبله.
وفي معرض الحديث عن أهمية تكريم الشخصيات البارزة في مجال السينما خلال المهرجان، أكدت ماريان خوري المدير الفني للمهرجان : "إنه لأمر ضروري الاحتفاء بالرواد الذين ساهموا في جعل السينما بالشكل الذي هي عليه اليوم. لم تكن بركين ممثّلة ومغنية شهيرة فحسب، بل رمزاً للحرية والابتكار. أعمالها تجاوزت الحدود وواكبت الأجيال، ممّا جعلها شخصية مؤثّرة في عالم الفنّ. إنها لسعادة لنا أن نحتفي بإرثها ونشارك جزءاً من رحلتها الرائعة مع جمهورنا في مهرجان الجونة".
إلى إنجازاتها السينمائية، كانت إسهامات بركين الموسيقية استثنائية. نتج تعاونها مع سيرج غاينسبور عن أغنية "أحبّك… ولا أنا أيضاً"، التي تحدّت الأعراف الاجتماعية لتتحوّل نشيداً للحرية. ألهم صوتها المميز وكلماتها عدداً لا يُحصى من الموسيقيين والمستمعين على حد سواء، ممّا عزز مكانتها في تاريخ الموسيقى.

تقوم الخمسينية آنا، بتفريغ صناديقها في منزل قديم كبير يقع على شاطئ بريتاني، فتظهر عاصفة من الأزواج السابقين والعشّاق والأطفال والآباء وحتى الأشباح. تدعونا بركين إلى رحلة آسرة عبر الذكريات والعواطف. عن هذا الفيلم، قالت: "وددتُ استكشاف فكرة أننا لا نتخلّص البتة من ماضينا وأحبائنا وذكرياتنا".

رحلة متعددة الوجه عبر قصص وشخصيات مختلفة. جاين بركين، المعروفة باسم جاين ب.، تجسّد أدواراً مثل جانّ دارك وكالاميتي جاين وجاين صديقة طرزان. هذا الاستكشاف الآسر للهوية والإبداع يضع فنّ بركين في المقدمة. قالت فاردا عن الفيلم: "حاولتُ التقاط تنوع جاين والسحر الذي تأتي به إلى كل شخصية تجسّدها".

فيلم جريء عن الحبّ غير التقليدي بين امرأة في منتصف العمر، تجسّدها بركين، وعاشق ألعاب فيديو يبلغ من العمر 14 عاماً، يؤدي دوره ماتيو ديمي، نجل فاردا. تحدّت فاردا في هذا الفيلم المفاهيم التقليدية للحب والعمر.
