يتقدم مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي بأسمى آيات الفخر والتهنئة للشعب المصري العظيم، بمناسبة افتتاح المتحف المصري الكبير، هذا الصرح الحضاري الشامخ الذي يمثل أيقونة جديدة تُضاف إلى كنوز مصر الخالدة، وفي هذه اللحظة التاريخية التي تتجسد فيها عظمة الإرادة المصرية، برعاية ورؤية قيادة سياسية طموحة حوّلت الحلم إلى حقيقة.
إن افتتاح هذا الصرح العملاق هو تتويج لحلم أجيال، ورسالة للعالم أجمع بأن مصر، بتاريخها العريق، تواصل إبهار البشرية بإبداعها وقدرتها على صون تراثها وتقديمه في أبهى صورة. إنه نافذة يطل منها المستقبل على عظمة الماضي، ومنارة تشع بنور الفن والحضارة.
وبهذه المناسبة الاستثنائية، التي تكتمل فيها مسيرة جهد وعمل دؤوب، يحرص المهرجان على أن يوجه تقديرًا خاصًا للفنان فاروق حسني وزير الثقافة الأسبق، الذي وضع بحسه الفني ورؤيته الثاقبة حجر الأساس لهذا الحلم العظيم، لتبدأ على يديه رحلة طويلة تُوجت اليوم بهذا الإنجاز الذي هو فخر لكل مصري.
